Windows 10 will reach its end of support (EOS) on October 14, 2025. After this date, Microsoft will no longer provide bug fixes, security updates, time zone updates, or technical support for most devices running Windows 10. This means that continuing to use Windows 10 beyond its EOS date could expose your systems to security vulnerabilities and compliance risks.
Key Points:
- Final Version: Windows 10, version 22H2, is the final version and will remain in support with monthly security updates until October 14, 2025.
- Impact on Devices: Devices running Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC versions will have different support lifecycles, with some versions continuing to receive updates beyond the general EOS date.
- Transition to Windows 11: If your PC has the correct specs, you may be able to upgrade to Windows 11 at no charge. If not, you will need to purchase the Windows 11 operating system. CCSi and/or RC Telecom can provide assistance to upgrade your PC before the October deadline.
- Another option if you run out of time, is to procure from Microsoft its Extended Security Update program. CCSi and/or RC Telecom can provide assistance on how to sign up for this extended support program.
