A simple process to confirm that first responders have your correct business address in the 911 database:
- From any phone dial '933'.
- The automated system will read back either your full business address, or it will read back your business address along with the exact phone location (ERL) as entered in the database by your administrator. (The emergency record location (ERL) only applies to larger buildings that are multifloored or are large in terms of square footage.)
This information, in cases of an emergency when a user enters '911' on their phone will be passed to the regional 911 PSAP call center for call routing to first responders.
When dialing '933' if you do not hear the correct business address played back that means there has been an error in the 911 database that needs to be corrected. If you notice this error, please contact CCSi Communications ASAP so we can determine if the error lies with the carrier entry or, if your administrator needs to correct the emergency record locator (ERL) information in the database portal.
